Apple Store Force Update

Currently when an update is available for your apps you will see a notification badge on the app store icon.

Choose app store from the apple menu then click on updates on the left column once the store s running. Then turn on or turn off app updates. Even apple and microsoft don t force security updates.

Your device will automatically update to the latest version of ios or ipados. On your mac open the app store. If you have yet to take the plunge to ios 9 then your iphone may still offer the outdated ios 9 update on the software update screen instead.

Select or deselect automatic updates. Use software update choose system preferences from the apple menu then click software update to check for updates. From the menu bar at the top of the screen choose app store preferences.

With ios 12 or later or ipados you can have your device update automatically overnight while it s charging. If its a security or feature requirement you can tell your users the update is necessary or the app will not function. You can always opt out or restore an older version.

You tap the icon and are taken to the update section of the app store. On your apple watch go to settings app store. In this instance i can see that both kiwi for gmail and whatsapp desktop have updated recently.
